Ingredients :-
豆干,生葱,虾
TouGua, Spring Onion and Prawn. Cut the TouDua into slices, not too thin the slice or too thick. Cut the Spring Onion into small portion. As for the Prawn, optionally whether you want to cut into smaller portions or just as a whole. Again, all these ingredients can be easily found in supermarket.
Cooking Instruction :-
1. Wash the TouGua and then cut it into slices. Not too thin or you will easily smashes it to pieces when fried. Normally, 1 piece of TouGua can roughly cut into 10 slices.
2. Wash the Spring Onion, cut off the root portion and discard it then chop into smaller length.
3. Peel off the shell of the Prawns, wash them and optionally whether you want to cut into smaller portions.
4. Heat up the wok/frying pan. This time you need to put in a little bit more oil as you need to deep fry the TouGua a bit.
5. When the wok/frying pan is hot enough, carefully put in the slices of TouGua. Nevermind you can't put in all at the same time, just put in whatever number of slices you could into the wok/frying pan. Let the TouGua deep fry a bit before flipping over to let the other side of the TouGua to deep fry also. Be careful when you flip those if not you can smash them into pieces and ruin the dish. When you can see the TouGua having that crispy look or kind of golden in color means you are done with the deep fried part, scoop out all the TouGua to a plate. This step might take 5 to 10 minutes to get all the TouGua deep fried depending on how hot your wok/frying pan is.
6. Now the wok/frying pan is very hot, throw in the prawns and you can see them instant cook and don't forget enjoy the nice smell of the cooked prawns.
7. Next put back all the deep fried TouGua into the wok/frying pan with the prawns then add like 1/4 rice bowl of water then put in the Spring Onion.
8. The TouGua and Prawns are already cooked, the water get heated up and will cook the Spring Onion and once the Spring Onion is cooked, the dish is done. Try using the spatular/ladle to mix the TouGua, Prawn and Spring Onion a bit before scooping out.
Ok Daddies, nevermind you smashed the TouGua into piece, practice more and next time you can do it and the TouGua remains in a slice after deep fried. The crispy feeling of the TouGua, the fragrance of the Prawns and the freshness feeling of the Spring Onion is what made this dish taste delicious.
